You're so right about this chapter; it's definitely not one of the best. I wonder, is it the pacing that's off? It reads too slow, maybe? I think that's what it may be. I'm going to try to pick it up and make it more interesting in the next one. :D
I like the idea of a shadow from Eames's past. You're definitely not the first one to think that, so you're on to something there, and I like it.
