So this started out with some honestly hilarious lines that had me literally laughing out loud. Actually, I read out loud the line where Arthur silently resolves to scare the shit out of Eames, and Husband replied with the image of (his words) "Arthur diligently and carefully cutting holes out of a mattress with the same anal-retentive attention to detail he normally reserves for scouting a job..."
And I laughed and laughed until I had too stop laughing because I was way too fucking skeeved out on the creepy stuff.
AND THEN YOU EXPLAINED IT WITH SCIENCE and that made it so much better, because your stories have always been about bad things that could technically still happen to people in reality (well, the reality that includes dreamsharing, anyway).
Eames and Arthur are amazing. I want to curl up inside of their relationship and live there now. <3 I love the insights you gave to Arthur's character, with his rules and how Eames breaks all of them!
