Eh... I hate to say 'being a nurse is a calling' because i feel that makes me sound all saintly, and i am FAR from it. But it's definitely the only thing i've ever done that clicked, that felt Right, and i'm soooo happy doing it (even when it sucks and i'm covered in literal shit). It's hard, but not that hard? I dunno, i've never quite been able to articulate what it is about nursing that makes my heart sing and makes all of the awful stuff worth it (and sometimes i feel privileged to be a part of the awful stuff, too). But thank you.
