Lastly I developed a new and stupid habit (well, maybe a word „habit” is not the most proper one). Anyway, I’m crying at the end of stories I really like, no matter if the end is a good one or bad. So, yeah, right now I’m sitting and crying helplessly. What a foolish thing to do…
Ok, so I know, I was writing this in every single review, but I really do love your Arthur, your Eames and your Cobb. You developed their characteristics, making them feel so… Well, I’m not even sure how to describe it. In short, I think they simply feel real to me. Ok, they maybe seem to be (especially Arthur and Eames) a little too resistant, but on the other hand- they are trained for that and human beings are really an impressive creatures, they (well, we) are able to do things from both side of good and evil, in every shade of grey, break after the faintest touch and resist the most horrible things. So, yes, they feel real to me. And I like them so much! The epilogue with nurses was surprising, but in a good way and theirs talks… Well, I have to admit I had many similar conversation with my friend (of course the contest was completely different), many of them were about Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy. Because I privately think Joseph is both cute and hot and she thinks that Tom is the hottest one;D But coming back to the story: the awkward farewell of Arthur and Cobb suits them in some strange way, especially Arthur because his attitude toward people is slightly strange. But it just makes him more interesting. I really like how you show Eames and Arthur feeling so naturally with each other. You gave them a private moment of (almost) relax, a chance for touches (I love the moment when Eames felt Arthur’s fingers on his hair, no idea why), without making all of this soppy. And all their dialogues, I love the way people write their talks, you are definitely not an exception from this rule. Arthur and chocolate, for me (again no idea why, my brain seems to be working strangely today) it’s bloody brilliant. Seems I have the thing of Arthur and chocolate. And Arthur welcoming the heat of explosions with pleasure. And Arthur in jeans… Ok, Arthur and everything.
Guess, I’m rambling right now, so I’d better stop (please, don’t be scared, I usually control my insanity). In short- wonderful, amazing story, with great characters and breathtaking plot (and many evil cliffhangers…).
Hope you’ll write something soon!
Oh, and I totally agree with this challenge thing!
